Rugby Scrimmage Cancelled this Saturday

The Rugby Scrimmage this Saturday has been CANCELLED due to waterlogged fields. The City of Orlando has closed their parks through Sunday night.

I have approached Brevard and Gainesville about trying to reschedule for next weekend but it is the Labor Day Weekend. I only have a field available on the Sunday if it is hosted in Orlando but have asked if either Brevard or Gainesville could possibly host it on the Saturday if they want a game.

Important Practice Information

NOTE UPDATED!!!!: that the fields will close this afternoon and remain closed until FRIDAY, AUGUST 22 due to TS Fay.

Practice is back to Cady Way Park on the east side of Showalter Field. 7:30 till 9:30.

Also thank everyone who attended the pub crawl it was a great time had by all. Brendan our great leader will be giving bike riding lessons for next one coming soon.

UPDATED - First Annual RPM Bike Tour on August 16th

The first annual RPM BIKE PUB TOUR August 16th starting at noon meeting at Spatz. Cost ten dollars for t-shirt. You must pay to go on. You must have a bike to go. Everyone join the fun what away to kick off a new season. Please rsvp Raoul,Mike Waterman or Pat at Spatz. Hope to see everyone. You must buy your on drinks on the tour.

Practice Locations for August

We are still going to be practicing  at Ward Field till August 19th then we move to Cady Way Park. Practice starts 7:00 till 9:00 at Ward Park fields. When we go to Cady Way park we go back to 7:30 till 9:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Just to clarify a few things from Saturday’ meeting:

First off, thanks to those who were in attendance !!

#1 - Review the new ELV Rules

#2 - Dues Schedule
Men’s and Ladies “Full Playing Dues” will be $150.00 per 1/2 year season
I.e. spring and fall — $150.00 each season
OR $250.00 for the entire year

Social NON PLAYING CLUB member with FULL VOTING rights —– $150.00 per year.

We also agreed that we would elect coaches and captains for all 3 teams, after practice on Thursday Sept 4th. This will give our current leaders, captains and coach’s some time to get a feel for where we are this year.

Lets get ready for another great year of Winning Rugby!!!
