Come out to support the Orlando Rugby Football Club as the ORFC Men’s
Team will be playing a Sevens Exhibition Scrimmage on April 10th
during halftime at the Orlando Titans NLL game.  The game begins at
7:35pm at the Amway Arena as the NLL East-leading Orlando Titans take
on the NLL West-leading Washington Stealth.  Tickets range from $20 to
$35, but will be available for $10 with an advanced purchase.  This is
a great opportunity for the Club to get the word out about rugby in
the local Orlando area including information about Men’s and Women’s
XV, Summer Sevens and Orlando Touch.

The club will also be participating in the Orlando Titans Fan Fast
prior to the game.  Fan Fast is setup in front of the Amway Arena on
Amelia Street and will include a car/bike show, Army Rock Wall, dog
tag machines, corn hole, a beer garden bar, a magician, face painters,
an inflatable bounce house, plus a much more.  It all starts at 5PM
and goes until game time.

Rugby.

As many of you know, last week Alan Dodimead’s father passed away. The family will hold a private service on Friday March 26^th. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the American Heart Association in the name of Frank Dodimead Jr. The Orlando Rugby Club will be making a donation in this fashion for anyone who would like to contribute. If interested, please contact Adam Hyche at 205-531-2422. Donations will be collected at practice Thursday and in Tampa on Saturday. We will make the donation next week.

Take I-4 to Tampa

Option 1a – Merge on to I-275 South and Take Exit 41-A for S. Dale Mabry Hwy.

Option 1b – Take I-75 South and then get on the Crosstown Expressway (Toll Road). Take the left-hand fork at the end of the Crosstown Expressway (Exit 1-A, the sign will say “To MacDill AFB”).

At the first light, take a right onto S. Dale Mabry Hwy (the turn is actually a cut-off right before the light)

2 – Turn left at Interbay Blvd. (going East, [After the Dollar General, there's a gas station on the corner]

3 – Turn right at S. Martindale Ave. (after the riding stables and the small seafood store). If you hit S. MacDill Ave., you’ve gone too far.

USA National Touch Rugby Tournament 24th/25th September 2010

USA’s national touch rugby tournament will be held here in Florida at Disney’s WWS.

This is a great opportunity to show case your talent and possibly get selected to the national team OR for any of those rugby teams who are serious about there off season training what better why to improve ball skills and fitness at the same time, while training for something.

Team entry $400
Plus U.S. Touch fees $25 per head ($300 per team).
So that’s $700 per team or $60 each.

The cost includes amongst many other things an annual fee per person to U.S. Touch and Federation of International Touch.
Fees must be paid by 30th June 2010.
The event is on 24th/25th September
