  • OR $210 for 3 Nights: Bed, Breakfast & Dinner – 4 people sharing bedroom/loft chalet (Manyane Resort [just outside entry gate])

NOTE: All of these prices were available on the internet. We are hoping that we will be able to negotiate group discounts so that the cost will be around $2500 for the same package. Ideally, we would like to lock up 2009 pricing for 2010, and will need to do this by the end of 2009 prior to increased focus in South Africa on the Soccer World Cup.

WHO: Orlando RFC would like to take two teams on this tour (party of around 48 to 50) – One competitive men’s team and one social old boys’ team (over 35). The squads are open to:

  • Competitive Team: Anyone currently playing for Orlando RFC Griffins; Anyone who has previously played for Orlando RFC Griffins or Iron Horse RFC and who is still actively playing elsewhere in USA (or world?)
  • Social Old Boys: Anyone who has played for Orlando RFC Griffins or Iron Horse RFC
  • Spouses: Please indicate if you would like to bring your wife/girlfriend if space is available

NOTE: The actual size of the touring party, the number and nature of the team(s) and spouse space availability depends on the response that we receive. At the very minimum one side will be touring.

Should we have enough response to warrant touring with two teams and need two or three extra players to fill out the rosters, the invitation will be made to players and/or Old Boys within the FRU

WHAT: If you’re interested, please send an e-mail ASAP with the title “40th Anniversary Tour” to vicepresident@orlandorugby.com. In the body please indicate your interest, which team, what positions you play, whether your spouse is interested and your name, address, and contact information. This will help to allow us gauge initial numbers. Additional information will be sent to you via e-mail.

A fully refundable deposit of $250.00 (or an approved, active payment plan in place) is required by November 11, 2009. From these numbers the final itinerary and pricing will be developed.
